| Tipping the Velvet (2002) (TV) | Rachael Stirling, Keeley Hawes, Anna Chancellor, Jodhi May "[May] smokes in two scenes of her appearance in the movie" "To steal a tag from another Brit series, this lesbian erotic romp set in the 1890s is 'absolutely fabulous.' A 3-hour, 3-episode BBC miniseries, all on one DVD. Early in the first episode, Hawes gets things started as a showgirl lighting up backstage, and the smoking seldom stops after that. Hawes has at least one other good scene, and quickly 'corrupts' lead actress Stirling. There's apparently no learning curve needed for Rachael -- right from the start she smokes like a pro, and continues in countless scenes throughout all three episodes. Chancellor joins her in episode two, with a couple of very hot scenes in which smoking is combined with seduction and sex, with many drags and exhales from unfiltered cigs of various kinds. All the actresses really know what they're doing and look totally IRL, and most scenes are beautifully lit and filmed. Recounting individual scenes is beyond me -- just see it and enjoy." "Both [Stirling, Hawes] ... smoke, and they are both definately IRL, great drags and exhales" "[Chancellor] like a Victorian chimney"
