| Splendor in the Grass (1981) (TV) | Melissa Gilbert-Brinkman "Smokes in 1 scene... smokes a Kool Menthol 100 very nicely. She takes a seperate drag with a very french like exhale, the next drag is a multiple with a nose and talk exhale. Definitley an actress who knows how to smoke a cigarette, but i think there should have been more smoking, too bad!!" "I only saw this film once, when it was new, but I don't recall any smoking in it. Melissa at one point mentions 'going out for a cigarette,' but I only remember her talking about smoking, not actually doing it. I'd say that the jury is still out on this film's alleged smoking content, with all due respect to the previous citation." "The reason I doubt the first comment about this film is because the movie is set in the 1920s. Would it be believable for a young woman in the twenties to be smoking a Kool menthol 100? Given that the 100s weren't created until decades later, that would be awfully sloppy on the part of the filmmakers, and I honestly don't recall Gilbert smoking in this film at all."
