She taps both ends of her cigarette on her hand before accepting a light and performs talk and nostril exhales. Her smoke is all the more striking since the film is in black-and-white. Glynis, as the mermaid, tries a cigarette, but coughs violently after lighting it, deciding that smoking is horrible.
