| Mädchen Rosemarie, Das (1996) (TV) | aka A Girl Called Rosemary. Nina Hoss, Katja Flint "[Hoss] Well, she's gorgeous, a red-lipsticked platinum blonde playing a high-class prostitute in 1950s West Germany. And she smokes in lots of scenes all through the movie. But why, oh why, couldn't they find an actress who can smoke? A completely amateurish performance, she neither holds, drags, nor 'exhales' (not that she's inhaling) convincingly. Maybe Nina Hoss is German for 'Elizabeth Berkley.' I should add that two other actresses with smaller roles smoke much better, one with a holder, but this would have been a classic if Hoss could smoke."
