"Juliette Lewis also does a nice job as sort of a not-too-bright innocent waif type whose boyfriend normally beats her if she smokes." "Nine scenes for Michelle, including several dangles. You can hear her suck her smoke down; some of her exhales are audible too. There's a nice scene where she emits a thick exhale and takes another drag as the smoke from the first continues to trickle from her nostrils. Juliette takes just two drags: she does not inhale the first, but the second is performed forceably with wide-open mouth - though the illusion is shattered when she grimaces and coughs."
