| Johnny O'Clock (1947) | Evelyn Keyes "Smokes in 4 scenes, with one very nice closeup" "Four lightings (one from a candle in a restaurant) with some substantial exhales. There is a nice romantic scene where her boyfriend raises his cigarette to her lips and she obligingly drags and inhales." "The above review is wrong. In Johnny O'Clock, a film which I possess, she has three main smoking scenes. The first is when she is informed that her sister is dead and receives a light with a match from Lee J. Cobb, with some nice exhales. The second is when she first meets Dick Powell and asks, 'Got a light?' and he obliges with a lighter. The last and probably the best is when Dick Powell unintentionally frightens her and suggests she have a cigarette to calm her down, he offers, she accepts and he gives her a light."
