"Perhaps her best smoking film and one of her early ones. Lots of dangling, light-ups, inhales and close to a dozen exhales as she plays a beautiful tough prostitute. Although it's often not always filmed or lit that well, it's quite a performance. She smokes constantly and unapologetically (clearly IRL) and, in a couple of scenes at least, she uses her smoking as part of her dominant sensuality (ordering a man to light her cigarette, striking a tough pose in sunglasses as she exhales then dangles, etc). Along similar lines, towards the last quarter of the film, her character becomes more vulnerable and less dominant, and, not surprisingly, she doesn't smoke anymore."
