| Human Stain, The (2003) | Nicole Kidman, Jacinda Barrett "Kidman, as sexy as she's ever been, really goes at it in several scenes, maybe 5 or 6. Again and again we're treated to a cheek-collapsing drag, an inhale to her toes, and a long, forceful, thick exhale. We must see about 20 of these drags and 10 of the exhales in all, most with good lighting. She also dangles seductively while awaiting a light in one scene, and has an occasional talking exhale through mouth and nose. Her best smoking performance in any film. And there's a cherry on top: The lovely blonde Jacinda Barrett plays an sweet small-town coed, and since her scenes are in 1940s flashbacks, she smokes as well. One scene in an apartment features holding and one decent exhale, another in a record store listening booth shows a few drags, unfortunately only in blurry background."
