| Evening in Paris, An (1967) | Sharmila Tagore, H "Tagore, as the lead in this Indian film about a young woman visiting America and unwittingly (I think) getting involved in criminal circles, uses a holder and dangles before letting a man light her cigarette. Seemingly as part of the growing sophistication of her character, she tries to look sultry and generates some smoke in her one real try, but she doesn't seem to really inhale and the scene quickly cuts away. Soon afterwards, a second young actress, one of the main supporting players, does only a bit better in her equally quick moment of holding then trying to inhale. Overall, disappointing, although not bad as a curiosity and period piece."
