"True, Karine does not inhale (although she does a better job of faking it than some non-inhalers). But there's a great scene near the half-hour mark when Karine sees [Huston], a teacher, smoking, and imagines her as Anna Karina smoking (in footage taken from 'Vivre Sa Vie'). The editor creates a nice sequence going back and forth between the teacher in color and Anna in black and white - for example, in one sequence the teacher inhales in a close-up, which then cuts to Anna exhaling."
