"Seven scenes in all. She repeatedly taps her cigarette on her thumbnail before accepting a light, exhaling a thick cloud, and blowing out the match. Some smoking dialogue follows. On a couple of occasions, she performs two-part exhales, punctuated by a few words. She is already smoking in a retaurant when a woman offers her a cigarette - she stubs out her own, though only part- smoked, and accepts. Towards the end she takes a cigarette from an amazingly thick case (almost a box!) and lights up. Black and white emphasizes her exhales throughout."
