"has about five or six smoking scenes the first in a bar, the second in her academy dorm room, another outside the A.B.A. building and yet another in a nightclub all of which we see some good exhales now and then, but too much attention goes to others in the scenes so the cross-cutting hurts the effect a little."
"Roger Ebert's review of this one mentioned that the cast, like real-life dancers, tend to smoke a lot, so it was a bit disappointing to find that Saldana is the only female smoker in the film. On the plus side, she is quite attractive and does have a few decent scenes, although her style is pretty plain and there are no closeups."
