| Bombers B-52 (1957) | Natalie Wood, Marsha Hunt "Just two brief scenes - but better than nothing" "a great scene at the begining of the movie where everyone is lighting up and Natalie smokes as an 18 year old" "I'd say the scenes had great potential but are frustrating. [Wood is] young and pretty and clearly IRL, but her smoking mostly occurs in wide shots, with the smoke on her exhales hardly visible. There are two closer shots of exhales, but one is from a three-quarter rear angle, while in the other she drags nicely but covers her face with her other hand as she exhales, just in time to block our view. There is one unusual bit of dialogue from Karl Malden, as her father, who tells a guest that his daughter 'smokes, but she doesn't drink.'" "Marsha Hunt has two scenes, one sitting on a sofa, she has a light up and a nice snap inhale, Natalie Wood is smoking in the same scene as well, and has a nice snap. In the other scence, Marsha Hunt lights up at a roadside diner and, again, has a very lovely snap inhale. Two IRL smokers!!
