"In contrast to her expert-smoking prostitute in My Life to Live, here Karina plays a much more innocent young woman, clearly a beginning smoker, with a cough after her first lightup and the smoke from the vast majority of her many drags blown out uninhaled. At least a couple of times, though, she forgets, and inhales and exhales like the real smoker she undoubtedly was. Two extended scenes indoors plus a quickie on a balcony."
