"Montgomery holds in at least 10 scenes, but unfortunately is only shown smoking in about 4 of them. Editing also does damage to the quality of her smoking scenes, but Montgomery herself is an outstanding smoker who definitely looks IRL. In the hands of another director Montgomery could produce a landmark female smoking film. Spelling takes one hit off a joint, no exhale shown. Westfeldt takes a hit off a joint while in a bathtub and blows off an exhale. In one of the deleted scenes on the DVD, Westfeldt has another hit on a joint with no exhale. In both scenes, Westfeldt does not look IRL"
