| "Play for Today" (1970) | (cigar), Alison Steadman ep. #8.3, "Abigail's Party", Nov. 1, '77 "She smokes throughout, but her drags are shallow. However, there are many extended dangles, including some closeup dangle while talking shots. Also, her two friends each have a cig or two." "A 70's based comedy play. A neighbour call's round to apologise for her daughters party (noise, shouting) not realizing Abigails is having a party. She is invited in and offered a drink, she refuses a cigarette (I think she says she has given up) she is persuaded to take a cigar, med length, small width and lights it. The play is shot in real time so the cigar is smoked. Mainly holding lit and unlit." "[Steadman smoked] St. Moritz menthol" | |
| "Play for Today" (1970) | Caroline Langrishe ep. #11.8, "The Flipside of Dominick Hide", Dec. 9, '80 "It was an excellent sci-fi play, as I recall it, and the brief but tantalising scenes (two, I think) with Langrishe smoking fuelled my growing adolescent awareness that I had a fetish. So a bit nostalgic for me.
